The Disney Scoop, Issue #023– Disney Discounts, News, Tips, and more….
October 01, 2009
Hello Everyone!Happy Fall! School is back in session, the weather is beautiful, and the activities are plentiful! Sounds like a perfect time to escape to Disney World! I’m sure many many of you are getting ready for a trip down to Orlando….especially with the free-dining offer and now the new discount deal (keep reading!).

If you are one of those lucky ones heading down in the next couple of weeks or months, check out the tips section for all kinds of trip tips.

Before reporting this month’s news, I’d like to get a few housekeeping items out of the way. First, a reminder to those traveling to Disney World in January. Your 90 day window is quickly approaching! Get ready to make all of your dining reservations and set your alarm for 7:00 am eastern time on your reservation day! Or you can go online system at For those going before then, hopefully you have already made all of your desired reservations.

**Note that the ADR window will be returning to 180 days on October 27th, 2009.**

If you use Facebook and you’d like to become a fan, leave a note, or even start a discussion, go to Plan a Magical Vacation on Facebook. Maybe post some interesting photos from your trips.

Once again, I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all those who made a donation to the website this month especially Sherryn. Remember, your donations help defray the costs associated with creating and maintaining the site. Thanks again.

Finally, if you are in the early stages of planning your trip, or don’t even know where to begin, I suggest you start with the Disney Vacation Plan Step by Step Guide.

If you haven’t already, I suggest that you try the Disney planning spreadsheet. It is a simple spreadsheet that makes planning out your Disney days super easy! Please contact me for the sheet – I’d be happy to send it to you. Read more about the spreadsheet.

Okay, on with the news!

Tip of the Month
Dinner (actually Lunch!) and a Show…

Once again, this month’s tip comes directly from one of your fellow “Scoopers”! Thanks to Yvette for this great tip.
“You can get tickets to the Finding Nemo musical if you make reservations at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom.” Yep, all you have to do is make a reservation for lunch at Tusker House between 1:00 pm and 1:40 pm and you will receive a ticket for reserved seating at the 3:15 pm Finding Nemo show. Note that only reservations between 1:00 pm and 1:40 pm qualify and you will be given only one ticket per person.
