Lots of fun Disney World news and announcements lately!
I hope you are all enjoying the summer so far!! We just made our annual trek to Gamestop…so the boys are occupied at the moment with their new purchase!
Before I go any further, I’d like to take this time to send out a reminder to those traveling to Disney World in December. Your 180 day window is now open. For those going in January 2011, your 180 day point is quickly approaching! Get ready to make all of your dining reservations and set your alarm for 7:00 am eastern time on your reservation day! Or you can use the online system at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/. I have been trying out the online system and I have to say that I really like it! For those going before then, hopefully you have already made all of your desired reservations.
Once again, I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all those who made a donation to the website this month, especially Joanne and family from the UK. If you have found our website to be helpful in planning your trip, please consider making a contribution. Remember, your donations help defray the costs associated with creating and maintaining the site. Thanks again.
Lastly, if you haven’t already, I suggest that you check out the Disney vacation planning spreadsheet. It is a simple spreadsheet that makes planning out your Disney days super easy! Read more about the spreadsheet.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
The 2010 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will take place on various nights from September 14th to November 1st.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
The 2010 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will take place on various nights from November 8th to December 19th.
Toy Story 3 Video Game
The all new Toy Story 3 The Video Game looks like a whole lot of fun – especially the new Toy Box open play mode! The movie was great and I’m sure the game will provide hours of family fun.
Disney Silly Bandz
Okay I am sure you all have heard about the crazy-popular fad – Silly Bandz….but did you know they also make Disney-themed bandz? Check them out on Amazon, they have Mickey and Friends, Princesses, Toy Story, Fairies, and more.
Disney to open a Pet Hotel
A new hotel just for pets is scheduled to open on August 27th at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
The new Best Friends Pet Care Resort will be a luxury pet resort and will offer accommodations, grooming services, walks, treats, etc – everything a pampered pet could dream of!
The resort will encompass 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, 10,000 square feet of which will be covered outdoor runs and play areas for dogs. There will also be a private dog park where owners can visit while on vacation.
This sounds like a fantastic alternative to boarding your pet at home – because you’ll have the ability to visit during your Disney vacation! I know it kills me to board my dog….but I think if I could check in on him a few times during our stay I’d feel much better about it!

|Disney World is a HUGE place! And let’s face it….we all lose things! Disney World has a great Lost and Found. I have personally witnessed amazing cast members utilizing hand held radios to locate my neice’s lost Santa hat – and magically return it to her during our meal in the Castle! Just a week or two ago, fellow Scooper Steve B. from Illinois contacted WDW Lost and Found after returning home from his trip. Lo and Behold – Disney found and returned his son’s camera that was lost during a day at Epcot! If you need to contact Disney Lost and Found, simply call (407) 824-4245 between 9am and 7pm. Good Luck!|
