What! Disney World room sizes? You mean I have to think about that too? The answer is YES!. If you’ve ever been cramped for a week in a tiny hotel room with your family you understand why!
Room size is just one small factor to consider when choosing a resort. But thinking about it now could save you lots of frustration later. Only you know the specific needs and personal space requirements of the people in your travel party. If you will only be using the room for sleeping, then size is probably not that important to you. But if you have bathroom hoggers, bed hoggers, children who need to nap, or someone who simply likes a little bit of space around himself, then please do consider the size of your resort room.
Side Note: I always feel kind of trapped when I am staying in a hotel room. My family travels around as herd all day long in the parks. So by the end of the day we all need a little breathing room or maybe even time alone (now that’s a novel idea – I haven’t had time alone in years!!). I like to take advantage of the open lobby areas, pools, and other outdoor spaces as much as I can while we are at the resort. Let me tell you – it is hard to keep four little boys contained!
After thinking about your Disney World room sizes needs, you may come to the conclusion that you need multiple rooms or perhaps a suite. Maybe you even need a home away from home resort where you can really spread out. Whatever your choice, you will be glad you thought about it beforehand.
Feeling trapped or cramped can put you in a bad mood. Arguments over space or constant grumpy-pants-complaining will really put a damper on an otherwise fantastic vacation. If you foresee a problem, it is far better to spend the extra money on a larger room.
Okay, now for the nuts and bolts. Disney World Resort room sizes vary according to the resort category. Obviously, the higher the category the larger the room. Check the table below for an easy comparison.
