Extra Magic Hours (EMH)


Disney World Extra Magic Hours (EMH) are just that – extra hours to enjoy the magic of the Disney rides and attractions!

Every day, one of the Disney World Theme Parks opens up an hour early OR stays open up to three hours later (after the regular closing time). Select attractions are open during the Extra Magic Hours, so you have the great opportunity to experience them at a less crowded time.

Along with the regular Park hours, the EMH schedule is released six months in advance. That gives you plenty of time to thoroughly plan your Disney itinerary.

Note: Only guests staying at a Disney World Resort can take advantage of the EMH. You also have to have at least a Magic Your Way base ticket to participate. Keep in mind that the base ticket does not allow you to park hop. If you plan on using the EMH benefit with only a base ticket, make sure the park you choose to visit on a certain day is the one with the extended hours.

If you wish to use the Extra Magic Hours at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, you must have a resort ID and the Water Park Fun & More option on your Magic Your Way tickets or at least a one day ticket for the water park that offers the EMH on the day you visit.

To get the most out of the Extra Magic Hours, I suggest adding the Park Hopper option to your tickets. That way, you can hop from park to park at your desire. You could start the day off in the park that opens early and end the day in the park that has the evening extended hours.

Using the EMH is a great way to make the most of your vacation time. If you plan it right, you can easily see all of the attractions while maintaining a nice relaxed pace.
