The Epcot Illuminations lyrics for the song “We Go On” are listed below. The song is very powerful and conveys a nice message about moving on into the future.
In my house, we have the CD Soundtrack of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. I bought it during my oldest son’s first trip to Disney World when he was 5 years old. After our return home, I would occasionally pop the CD into the player and we would all enjoy memories of our trip. My oldest son, only 5 at the time, would get all choked up and teary-eyed whenever he heard the Illuminations music. All he ever would say is that he was sad to not be in Disney World anymore!
If you are a lover of the Epcot Illuminations fireworks show, this music is a must-have.
The musical score and composition is really moving and uplifting.
Many years later, we still listen to it at least once a week and it is always in one of the CD player slots.
I never get tired of it! I highly recommend the soundtrack – you will love it too.
The Illuminations:Reflections of Earth CD also has the music from the Tapestry of Dreams parade.
The Tapestry of Dreams parade was really neat but sadly, this parade was discontinued.
Thankfully the music still lives on.
Listening to the Tapestry of Dreams portion of the CD always brings back one of my favorite memories of Disney World.
It is that memory of me pushing the double stroller filled with three small kids through Future World after Illuminations is over.
I seem to be pushed along by the crowds around me. It is dark – possibly there is a chill in the air. I have to keep looking down so I don’t roll over anybody’s feet.
As I am strolling through Future World, I marvel at the “sparkling” LED lights in the pavement and casually tell my husband that I want him to put those on our sidewalk at home – who needs landscape lighting anyway!
Anyway, all during this long trek from the back of the World Showcase to the monorail or bus, the haunting “hey ya, hey hey hey ya” Tapestry of Dreams music is surrounding me.
I just love it and I love to relive that moment!
