Disney Polynesian Resort Dining

Mmmmmm, Tonga Toast, Dole Whips, ‘Ohana Bread Pudding….. Oh boy!

Disney World’s Polynesian Resort dining options and selections are among my family’s favorite places (and things) to eat anywhere, not just at Disney World! First on our list is ’Ohana. ‘Ohana is a table service location that has both a character meal at breakfast, and an awesome family-style dinner.

The ‘Ohana character meal is a breakfast that features Lilo and Stitch and some of their friends along with traditional American breakfast foods. For those familiar with Stitch and his crazy antics, you can just imagine how much fun is had at this meal!

In my humble opinion, everyone should have dinner at ‘Ohana sometime in his or her life. Our experiences there have been the most memorable (and flavorful!) of all of our Disney vacations. The food, served by “cousins”, is presented at the table, family-style. So yes, you may be seated next to people you do not know. But remember, as even the youngest fans of Lilo and Stitch know, ‘Ohana means “family”, so make nice and have a great time! (Read my review of ‘Ohana)

The menu at ‘Ohana consists of grilled meats served on 3-foot skewers, accompanied by different dipping sauces. There are also delicious Hawaiian-style appetizers and vegetables. And let me tell you, the Banana Bread Pudding dessert is out of this world good. I actually requested the recipe!

Oh – and you simply cannot dine at ‘Ohana without sampling one of the yummy island drinks. How about a giant Lapu Lapu served right in a fresh pineapple – Aloooooha!

The Polynesian Resort dining also includes the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. This stunning show shares with you the rich traditions of the Polynesian culture, complete with Hula dancing and fire-twirling. The food is an all-you-care-to-eat South-Seas feast served family-style.

Note: You can make reservations for the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show up to two years ahead of time, and it frequently sells out.

Another note: If you are using one of the Disney Dining plans, two table service credits will be redeemed for each person for the Spirit of Aloha Show.

As always, try to make any and all of your table-service dining arrangements well in advance of your arrival. All dining reservations (ADRs) can be made by calling:
