The family-friendly dining room features butcher block tables, hand painted tiles, soaring ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors and a unique open kitchen. This open kitchen and wood burning oven provide up close and personal views of food preparation as well as delicious aromas. The Mediterranean-themed menu has been called “Cuisine of the Sun”. The dinner menu offers regional specialties from Greece, Spain, Northern Africa, and Italy and range from flatbread pizza to outstanding meat and seafood entrees. I suggest trying one of the specialty drinks or out-of-this world desserts. My favorite dessert of my entire vacation was had at Spoodles. It was two scoops of gelato – one pistachio and one hazelnut. It was served with a scrumptious biscotti. Yummy! The breakfast menu features traditional American cuisine including eggs, meats, cereal, and french toast, as well as Italian-style frittatas. A take-out window is available for passersby to purchase beverages or pizza by the slice. You can order pizza "to go" or eat it one of the several outdoor tables nearby on the Boardwalk. Pizzas are available for lunch, dinner and late-night snacking.
I have a very funny memory of one of my sons quietly eating his dinner one moment and then mysteriously being on the floor the next (my kids used to regularly vanish from the dinner table – through no fault of their own of course!). Two minutes after the falling-out-of-the-chair incident, another son spilled an entire glass of milk all over the beautiful tapestry chair that he was supposed to be seated upon! The wait staff was tremendous in dealing with the situation. Charlie, our waiter, amused the kids while our poor little waitress had to drag the behemoth chair out of the dining room and bring us a new one! Due to its location at the BoardWalk, the wait can be long. I strongly suggest making advanced dining reservations (ADR). You can make reservations up to 180 in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE or 1-877-939-3732. Speaking of location, the restaurant is very convenient in relation to Epcot. To get to Spoodles from Epcot, use the International Gateway exit which is located between the United Kingdom and France pavilions. From there, it is a short (and quite enjoyable) walk over to the BoardWalk. From the Disney Studios, you can hop on the boat or walk about 10-minutes on the paved path near the bus stops. Be sure to stroll up and down the BoardWalk area to take in all the action and entertainment either before or after your meal. It has all the ambiance of a quaint East Coast Seaside town. Spoodles is not to be overlooked. My husband and I both agree that our dining experience here was the best of our vacation. The food, location, and service was outstanding in every way. I highly recommend Spoodles for all ages and party types. Additional Dining Information from Disney:
